THOMPSON STATEMENT ON EXPEDITION OF APPEAL IN TERM LIMITS LAWSUIT |

New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. today issued the following statement after an expedited schedule was granted for the appeal against the term limit ruling:
“Today’s decision to expedite our appeal in the term limits case ensures that our opposition to this backroom deal and railroading of democracy will be heard while the issue is still fresh on the minds of New Yorkers. The people have spoken twice on this issue and I am proud to stand up and fight on behalf of all those who were against the term limits extension from the beginning.”
