New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson Jr., today joined New York State Assemblymember Deborah Glick to greet parents at Public School 41 in the West Village as they dropped their children off for the first day of school.
Thompson spoke to the parents about the different issues affecting the City’s public schools, in particular the reports of overcrowding at Public School 41.
“The first day of school is an exciting time for parents and students alike. I am happy to be here to listen to the concerns of these parents, especially regarding overcrowding at this school,” Thompson said. “I received some good feedback from the parents regarding the problems at this particular school, which is reflective of the overcrowding at schools across our City.”
