New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. takes part in the Better Chinatown Society Annual Lunar New Year Parade in Manhattan on February 1, 2009.

New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. celebrated the new Year of the Ox at the Better Chinatown Society Annual Lunar New Year Parade in Manhattan’s Chinatown yesterday.

He said: “A happy and healthy Lunar New Year to all! It is my hope that this Year of the Ox be the most auspicious and prosperous yet for all New Yorkers.”
