THOMPSON STATEMENT ON DEATH OF TERENCE TOLBERT

New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. today issued the following statement concerning the passing of Terence Tolbert:

I am extremely saddened to learn of the death of Terence Tolbert. A good friend for many years, Terence was a person who could meet any challenge with grace, dignity, and the highest of ethics. He was a decent man, someone who will long be remembered for his warm personality and infectious sense of humor. He touched so many lives, mine included, and for that we owe him a debt of gratitude. I extend my sincerest condolences to his wife, Freida, and his mother, Carolyn, and mourn his loss along with so many other New Yorkers.
