The New York City Comptroller’s Office this week concluded its annual winter clothing drive to collect winter garments to distribute to community-based organizations across the city.
“Through generous donations from employees of the Comptroller’s Office, we have once again been able to collect coats, sweaters, and scarf’s to help those most in need,” said Comptroller William Thompson, Jr.
This is the fourth year that Comptroller Thompson has spearheaded a winter clothing drive. Dozens of donated items will be distributed to the Hope Program in Brooklyn and BASICS, a Bronx organization that assists homeless families.
