THOMPSON STATEMENT ON STUYVESANT TOWN AND PETER COOPER VILLAGE

Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. made the following statement regarding Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village:

“ New York City’s pension funds have been actively involved in protecting affordable housing in New York City. From Parkchester in the Bronx to Cathedral Parkway Towers in Manhattan, the pension funds have worked to maintain affordable housing in New York City. As the investment advisor to the five New York City pension funds, I am committed to working with the tenants of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village and other elected officials toward ensuring that these buildings remain affordable.”
