The Comptroller’s Office this week concluded its annual winter clothing drive to collect winter garments to distribute to community-based organizations across the city.
“This winter promises to be a harsh one for New York City’s homeless men, women and children,” Thompson stated. “Through generous donations from employees of the Comptroller’s Office, we have once again been able to collect hundreds of winter garments to help those most in need.”
This is the third year that Comptroller Thompson has spearheaded a winter clothing drive. The more than 500 donated items will be distributed to community-based organizations that assist New Yorkers in need across the City.
