View Annual Toy Drive flyer
New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. today launched his third annual holiday toy drive to collect gifts for needy children in the city.
“The generous and giving spirit of New Yorkers can be seen throughout the year, as noted this past summer with the outpouring of support and contributions made towards the victims of Hurricane Katrina,” Thompson stated. “I am once again counting on New Yorkers to show their spirit of giving by donating an unwrapped gift to help make a child's day a little bit brighter this holiday season.”
The toys will be delivered to youth centers, schools, hospitals, and shelters in all five boroughs.
This is the third year that Comptroller Thompson has spearheaded a toy drive. Last year, Thompson's office collected hundreds of toys and gifts which were distributed in New York City and the Dominican Republic .
Thompson's toy drive will run from Friday, December 2 nd to Monday, December 19th at 3 p.m. People can send or bring unwrapped toys to the Office of the New York City Comptroller, Room 1330, New York , N.Y. , 10007 .
