THOMPSON STATEMENT ON THE TRANSPORTATION BOND ACT

New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. leads a press conference sponsored by Vote Yes on Prop 2 in support of the Transportation Bond Act at City Hall on October 17, 2005. New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. today issued the following statement in support of the Transportation Bond Act:

“The Transportation Act will mean $450 million in public transit improvements that will dramatically change our way of life and will help people all across this city. The Act is a responsible way to fund improvements to the city’s infrastructure and capital campaigns that will lead to long-term growth. I encourage voters to vote yes on Proposal 2 on November 8th.”
