THOMPSON PRESENTS AWARDS AT SENIOR CENTERS IN MANHATTAN |

New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. honored 14 senior citizens for their leadership while visiting Project FIND programs at three senior centers on Manhattan’s West Side today.
Comptroller Thompson toured the Clinton Senior Center on West 55 th Street, the Hargrave Senior Center on 71 st Street, and the Hamilton Center on West 73 rd Street. During the visit, the Comptroller spoke with staff, clients, and community members.
“We all understand the value of these programs,” Thompson said in presenting the awards. “These awards recognize individuals that have gone above and beyond to help others.”
Founded in 1969, Project FIND is dedicated to helping older adults on Manhattan's West Side to live more vital and independent lives in the community.
