New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. honored Tony-recipient Denis O’Hare, songwriter-playwright Bruce Sussman, and five other leaders in business and the community at his 2003 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Celebration on Wednesday, June 18th.

Thompson lauded the honorees for excelling in their fields and in their communities.

“Our successes are only possible because of the commitment, tenacity, and leadership of so many people,” Thompson said in addressing nearly 200 attendees at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center in Manhattan. “We honor a special group of outstanding individuals who have displayed these qualities and made great contributions to the life of our city.”
