New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. today announced
the release of the 19th edition of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and
Transgender Directory of Services and Resources. The only one of its
kind in New York State, this publication features more than 600 listings
of community organizations, HIV/AIDS resources, support groups, legal
services, professional associations and other facilities and services
in the metropolitan area.
"The Directory provides important information to many citizens
and distinguishes itself as a helpful resource offering comprehensive
information on a range of services," Thompson said. "This
year, we have continued to expand our listings to include counseling,
health care and houses of worship."
Free copies of the directory are available from the Comptroller's
Office of Community Relations, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender
Community Services Center in Manhattan and at area bookstores.
