NEW
YORK CITY ISSUERS ANNOUNCE JOINT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR UNDERWRITERS |
| On behalf of
the City of New York, the New York City Transitional Authority, the
New York City Municipal Water Authority and the TSASC, Inc. (the "Issuers"),
Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. announced today a joint Request
for Proposals ("RFP") from firms to serve as a Senior or
Co-Managing Underwriter for debt issued by each issuer. Each of the
Issuers plans to select a team of Senior Managers as well as a group
of co-managers for future bond sales.
Selections will be made based on written proposals, prior performance
on Issuer's financings, contributions of new and innovative financing
proposals, and for Senior Managers, oral presentations. Consistent
with the policies expressed in the City Charter, proposals are encouraged
from women-owned and minority-owned businesses.
Firms interested in applying for this RFP should e-mail their request
to the Public Resources Advisory Group of New York at rtilghman@pragny.com.
The RFP will only be distributed to firms eligible for selection
as an underwriter for one or more of the issuers. All proposals
must be received no later than 5:00 P.M. on Monday, April 8, 2002.
