FIND OUT WHERE THE MTA WANTS TO CUT STATION AGENTS

Albany lawmakers recently approved $1.8 billion in transit funding intended to reduce the subway and bus fare hike and stop service cuts.

But the MTA still wants to cut service by eliminating station agents at 199 locations throughout the subways.

Station agents are the eyes and ears of the subway system. By their very presence, they reduce the likelihood of fare-beating, vandalism, assaults and more serious crime. They help riders and make the subways easier to navigate.

The MTA urges riders, “When you see something, say something.” But without agents, who will be there to help you?

Here’s what you can do:
