Housing

The Comptroller is committed to the development and retention of affordable housing for middle, moderate and low-income New Yorkers. In particular, he has assisted individuals and advocacy groups on issues related to senior citizens’, Section 8, Mitchell-Lama and supportive housing, advocated for the development of housing for persons living with AIDS and living/working units, and has supported programs aimed at reducing construction, down payment and closing costs.
